A Mechanical License grants the licensee permission to manufacture and distribute phonorecords/sound recordings of a copyrighted musical composition (lyrics and melody) in audio-only format. A Mechanical License is required for each record manufactured and actually sold or distributed/distributed as "free."
This Mechanical License applies to this particular recording of the musical composition by the named artist and only on the project listed. Any other use (such as a compilation) will require a new and separate license.
The current statutory rate is 9.1 cents per song, per copy.
This license grants the licensee the right to reproduce 100 copies of the phonorecord. Licenses are available in lots of 100. For additional licenses, please adjust for the desired quantity. Ex. If you need 500 licenses, adjust the quantity to 5. Your total for 500 licenses would equal $45.50. Once all copies have been distributed, if more copies of your project are manufactured, you must acquire additional licenses.
You are not authorized to change the lyrics or melody of this original song. The correct title of the song and name(s) of songwriters must be imprinted on each and every record manufactured. You shall mail a physical cd to EMG, free of charge, upon the first sale or other distribution of the work.

The territory of this license is limited to the United States of America, its territories and possessions.
